Last Monday the NEUROLAB centre was inaugurated at the San Lázaro Hospital and was attended by Mª Jesús Catalá and Antonio Pulido of the “La Caixa” Foundation and the Cajasol Foundation. Those who have collaborated for the acquisition of one of the most modern gait analysis equipment that exists today. This is the latest GAITRite® equipment, a portable electronic walkway with a length of 8.84 meters and incorporating 29,952 sensors that provide measurements of the space-time parameters of the march, including speed. When the patient walks on this walkway, the system captures the geometry and arrangement of each footprint as a function of time, allowing dynamic visualisation of the gait and objectively measuring improvements, after the application of the different treatments, which will be tested in The Neurolab.
